Work focusing around reception, changing rooms, entrance doors and ramps, access to the lakeside and disabled toilet provision to the campsite amenity block have now been completed.
The development of a new residential block to the side of the visitor centre has been built and is now fully furnished.
The water park is based on old sand and gravel workings, but no evidence of that industry remains to spoil the scenery. A mixture of mature trees and shrubbery now forms a picturesque landscape, abundant with a wide variety of wildlife.
The caravan and camping site is grassed, naturally level and served by well lit, tarmac roads. Electricity points are available.
There is a large enclosed toddlers and children's playground.
The amenities building is well equipped and centrally heated.
The water park lake is used for canoeing, dinghy sailing, wind surfing, sub-aqua and coarse fishing. Structured RYA and BCU courses are run at the centre and coaching is given by highly qualified staff. There is a visitor centre incorporating residential accommodation. A National Curriculum resource pack is available.
