It is said that the flat corner of South Yorkshire in which Hatfield Water Park is situated is an area to be hurried through en route to more scenic places. York, Lincoln, Derbyshire, the Yorkshire Moors and Dales are popular destinations. However, for those interested in pastimes on or by the water, Hatfield Water Park is an oasis that deserves a longer stay.
PLEASE NOTE: The Caravan and Campsite is now closed for bookings until the 1st March 2010.
The Caravan and Camping site is grassed, naturally level and served by well-lit, tarmac roads. Electricity supply points are available and a large enclosed toddlers' and children's playground is situated close by, at the north end of the site.
The Amenities Building is well-equipped and centrally heated. A security access system restricts the use of this facility to Campsite users only, as the Water Park is open and free to the public.
The campsite is open from April to October inclusive.
Hatfield Village is a ten-minute walk away - and has a newsagent, post office, supermarket, grocery store and off-licence, hairdressing salons, restaurant and numerous pubs.
There is a large Tesco supermarket on Thorne Road, Edenthorpe, open 24 hours Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
