Doncaster Mustangs

The Mustangs were established in the autumn of 2002 by Doug McLean, Mark Blyth and James Berry who had all long been involved in the British game and had just completed a season of lengthy travelling with the Merseyside Nighthawks.

Recruitment commenced and enough players were found to be accepted into Division Two of the British Senior League for the 2003 season. A home was found, Doncaster Rugby Union Club at Castle Park, just a few furlongs from the racecourse, and the club colours were decided green shirt with gold pants.
