Walking on Doncaster's Open Access Land

The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 introduced new rights for people to walk over areas of open countryside. Approximately 99% of Doncaster borough's new access land is within Thorne Moors; part of Natural England's Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve (NNR).

Natural England organise guided walks and events at the NNR, so why not come along and join Natural England staff to explore this beautiful landscape?.

For details of other walks and events in the Doncaster area see Walking for Health

For more information about your Open Access rights and responsibilities, Doncaster’s Access land or to contact our Open Access Officer, see our Public Rights of Way page Countryside and Rights of Way Act and Open Access.
