The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 introduced a new duty to every Highway Authority to publish a Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP).

The Rights of Way Improvement Plan for Doncaster has now been adopted by the Council.
It is available to be downloaded by using the icon below (it is 4.6MB in size and will therefore take some time to download for non-broadband users). A separate, smaller Executive Summary is also available to download. The plan is now available on CD and can be obtained by contacting the Rights of Way section on the phone number or email address above. The document can also be supplied in an alternative format if required.
The plan is a result of the consultation carried out with local communities and stakeholders and considers the views on the state of the network, the problems encountered and the improvements people want to see. We have looked at access provided beyond the rights of way network including woodlands, parks and other green spaces.
