1. To seek opportunities in partnership to promote and publicise the responsible use and enjoyment of Rights of Way.
2. To provide a forum for matters of principle and general concern relating to Rights of Way in the Borough.
3. To create working groups when deemed necessary to consider specific issues, and implement agreed actions.
4. To provide an opportunity for dialogue and exchange of opinions and information between landowners and occupiers, users and the Local Authority.
5. To enable the Local Authority to share the initiatives and progress that has been made in matters relating to Rights of Way.
6. To identify problems that are occurring in relation to both occupiers and users of Rights of Way and to propose solutions.
7. To encourage the involvement of individuals and groups in keeping Rights of Way open and accessible, taking into consideration the special needs for disabled people.
8. To identify resources and funding for Rights of Way projects.
PLEASE NOTE
The Forum is not intended to replace the existing notification of complaints procedure but is seen as a supplement to it. Individual specific complaints should be raised with the Public Rights of Way Team outside of the Forum.
