The Public Rights of Way section within Doncaster Council is legally responsible for the maintenance and development of the rights of way network within the Borough. At present there are over 450 kilometres of Public Footpaths, Bridleways and Byways on 560 separate routes, ranging in length from a few metres to over three kilometres and in character from completely urban to entirely rural.
In addition, the Public Rights of Way section is also responsible for the section of the Trans Pennine Trail where it runs through the Borough, offering further opportunities for walking, riding and cycling.
The section can also offer advice and guidance on the use of other routes and areas of land to which the public have access, such as permissive paths or the newly created Access Land.
More detailed information is available on the pages that can be accessed from the list on the left hand side of the screen.
