You can take a nostalgic trip into the past through a wide range of stimulating and original resource materials, for Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Day Centres, and those who work with older and intergenerational groups.
Thirty themed sets feature a wealth of handling objects, aroma bottles, ephemera, audio and visual media, clothing and photographs from different decades throughout the 20th century.
Themes for the collection have been chosen to appeal to all members of society, regardless of their social or cultural background. Childhood Memories, In the Kitchen, Hobbies, Sports and Pastimes are just a few of the topics to choose from.
An information pack is included with each themed set. This contains ideas, activities and advice to help staff without any reminiscence experience to run sessions within their own establishment.
The Reminiscence On-line Catalogue is provided as a link below. You also have the option to download the catalogue by clicking on the pdf document below. The catalogue details the full list of sets and their contents. Loans are for 2 weeks, for which there is a small charge. Delivery and collection can also be arranged upon request for a small charge.
To order on-line simply 'add the item' to your shopping cart and complete your details when you 'checkout'. You are not required to pay on-line, this is collected on delivery of the requested loan set.
For Health and Safety reasons, the Reminiscence sets are NOT recommended for use in schools.
Open Monday to Friday 8.30a.m. to 5p.m. - visits by appointment only. Free car parking and loading area. Limited wheelchair access.
