What the service provides

Roman Body Armour

The Museum Loans Service has a rich and varied collection which supports the National Curriculum, including natural history specimens, social history artifacts, models and artwork. However, items which can be added to the collection are always welcome, so next time you are clearing out the attic, garage, cupboards, etc. please think of us.

Resources are used to provide support in the classroom after a museum/education visit; handling objects for interactive learning; and displayed exhibitions in protective plastic cases.

Loans can now be ordered using the on-line catalogue, which can be found using the 'Museum Loans Catalogue' link below. Simply add the available items to your basket and then complete your details when you 'checkout'. Once you 'submit' the request, it will be sent through to our loans office where your order will be processed.

There is a van delivery service and/or personal collections by borrowers. The service is free to Doncaster Local Authority (LA) schools.

Deliveries are divided into 5 areas. To find your delivery area please download the School Areas List document and then the relevant area delivery-collection schedule for delivery dates.

For further details, contact the Loans Service by phoning 01302 886491.

Open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm - visits by appointment only. Free car parking and loading area. Limited wheelchair access.
