Based in the Outpatient reception area of the Children’s Hospital, this specialist service provides information, books and leaflets on childhood conditions, disability, treatments and illness for the following groups:
Children
Adolescents
Parents and carers
Professionals
Students
In addition general information is provided on a whole range of childcare, child health and child development topics.
Information is provided in a way that is easy to understand, helping families and others to cope with the effects of illness and treatment.
Enquiries are welcome by telephone, post, e-mail or personal visit
Normal hours of opening are as follows:
Monday
1.30pm – 4.30pm
Tuesday
9.30am – 12.30pm
Wednesday
1.30pm – 4.30pm
Thursday
9.30am – 12.30pm
Telephone calls are accepted between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday – Friday. Your telephone call during these hours may be answered by the Patients’ and Staff Library.
E-mail enquiries will be answered during normal office hours.
