Section in Central Library which caters for users aged 0 - 15 and offers :
Lending Services:
Books; Paperbacks; Large Print Books; DVDs & Videos; Spoken Word Cassettes.
Other Services:
Reference Books; Computers with free Internet Access, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, database and presentation software; CD-ROMs; school visits; activities for children, such as storytelling and craft sessions, and the annual Summer Reading Game.
Normal Library opening hours are as follows:

What can I find in my library?
Books - Stories, Information, Poems, Jokes, Comic Books, Board & Picture Books, Touch and Feel, Lift the Flap, Stories on Tape or CD, Large Print, Makaton - ALL FREE of charge
Music CDs - 75p for 1 week
DVDs and Videos - Children's are loaned free of charge
Computers with FREE Internet - for 7 year olds and over
Activities - Story and Rhymetimes, Crafts, Summer Reading Game, Homework and After School Clubs, Jigsaws and look out for the visits
Book Crawl - under 5s can collect certificates, plus a special Golden certificate and they might win 2 books in our Free monthly draw
Bookstart packs - books and information to help babies and young children to read. If your child is 7 months, 2 or 3 years old, get one for Free at your library
How do I get a Library Card?
Just get a membership form from your local library, or click on the link on the left margin "joining the Library" to print one off. Then ask your mum, dad or guardian to fill it in. Return it with some proof of their name and address, such as a bill, and you'll get a card straightaway.
What can I borrow?
Up to 12 books and 6 Stories on tape or CD, and keep them for 3 weeks.
Up to 2 DVDs and Videos for 1 week.
You can borrow and return items at any Doncaster Public Library. Just hand in your library card and the things you want to borrow at the counter.
How do I find what I want?
Information books (non-fiction) are kept in special order using numbers - use the guides in the library, check on the computer or ask our friendly staff to help. If you can't find what you want, fill in a request card and we will try to get it for you.
What if I lose my library card?
Let us know straightaway - you can get another one.
When is the library open?
Our libraries open at different times - please ask the Staff for details, or check on this website under the name of the library.
