How can libraries help with legal problems?

Doncaster libraries hold a range of information in order to make it easier for people to find legal information and advice.  You can find out about your legal rights and where to go for free advice if you need further help with a problem.

Libraries do not give out legal advice, but can provide:

• Access to the Community Legal Advice website
• Free information leaflets on topics such as debt, employment and housing
• Staff assistance in finding further sources of help

The Central Reference Library offers a wider range of legal resources including:

• Current legal encyclopedias
• Legal textbooks and layman's guides to the law
• Access to the Citizens Advice Information System (AdviserNet)
• Government publications, Acts of Parliament and Statutory Instruments
• Wide range of free information leaflets
