What is the Home Library Service?
The Home Library Service provides a free library service direct to the homes of those Doncaster Residents who are unable to visit their local library on a regular basis.
Who can have the service?
If you can meet one or more of the following criteria you may be eligible for the Home Library Service:
Elderly
Have mental health issues
Have a short or long term disability or medical condition
Be the carer of someone who meets this criteria
You can receive the service long term or on a temporary basis depending on your need
Who operates the service?
The Service is provided by Doncaster Library and Information Services and is based at the Central Library, Waterdale, Doncaster.
How does the service operate?
Visits are made on a regular three weekly basis by friendly Library staff. Readers are notified in advance as to which day the visit will take place.
What kind of service is provided?
A regular supply of books catering for a wide range of interests. Books in large print and Spoken Word CDs and cassettes are also available for loan.
