Now in it's sixth successful year, the Doncaster Book Award is essentially a collaboration between School Librarians and Doncaster Public Libraries. It fairly and squarely puts the young people of Doncaster in the driving seat when choosing what books they want to be contained and eventually win this award.
The award promotes much debate, social interaction, lasting friendships and a genuine sense of community whilst promoting reading for pleasure and the importance of literacy.
