Say Yes to Arts!

Say Yes to Arts! is the message to local residents from arts providers in the Doncaster area.

Say Yes to Arts logo

This campaign aims to raise awareness of arts in Doncaster. It is thought that people in Doncaster do take part in the arts regularly, but too many just don’t know they're doing it.

Are you someone who sometimes takes part in photography, watching gigs, laughing at comedy, dancing, drama, panto, web design, exhibitions, listening to music, knitting clubs, drawing or talking about books (this list could go on and on!)? If so, then when you get a call asking if you take part in the arts, we want you to Say Yes!

Look out for stickers and information about Say Yes to Arts! in and around the town!

Say Yes to Arts... The Big Picture

Local designers Wak Studios recently won funding as part of Say Yes to Arts, to liven up an empty shop window on Hallgate. The work can be viewed at 45 Hallgate, with a link to an online animation using QR recognition technology.

Say Yes to Arts... The Installation

Visual artist Mandy Keating worked with NDC families during October half term on a Doncaster heritage project, which resulted in a sculpture on display in Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery.

Say Yes to Arts... on Stage

Local theatre company Far out Theatre worked with families in Mexborough, Bawtry and Bentley during February and March on an exciting theatre project.  The group delivered workshops in various Children's and SureStart centres across the borough, with final performances taking place at Mexborough Niche Centre, Bawtry Phoenix Theatre and Bentley Pavilion.
