Doncaster Healthy Schools Programme

The Programme is a supportive quality assurance mechanism, monitoring the progress that schools are making towards gaining national healthy school status and working with other agencies to identify how schools can best be supported in this work. Achieving national healthy school status enables a school to demonstrate its contribution to the five national outcomes for children and supports achievement of the several of the targets within the Children and Young People’s Plan.

Doncaster Healthy Schools Programme is accredited to the National Healthy School Programme, which is led by both the Department for Education and Skills and the Department of Health.
