Following the past few months of detailed work and consultation, we have now submitted Part 1 of our Strategy for Change. This is the first formal part of approving BSF with the government and outlines our vision for the future of secondary education. It looks at where we are now (including things like exam results and attendance) and the challenges we need to overcome to achieve our vision, for example improving post-16 choice and better use of technology.

The Strategy for Change Part 2 (SfC2) is now underway. This is the detail and delivery section that will set out how we intend to achieve our vision. Many people have asked how BSF will impact on the individual schools and their buildings - this is where the SfC2 comes in.
September 2008’s BSF Conference (see lefthand menu for more details) will be the official starting
point for producing this document and over the next few months, along with our education consultants Mouchel, we will continue to work closely with each school and local community to produce detailed plans on the future of learning in each individual school.
The SfC2 will be submitted to government in January 2009 – more information will be published here as it progresses.
