Doncaster Council's Schools Catering Service employs approximately 600 permanent and relief staff in 124 kitchens.  

They produce approximately 4 million meals per year including meals specially prepared for pupils with special or medical diets.

A relief General Kitchen assistants main duties include:-

• Food Service and portion control
• Cleaning food production and service areas, equipment and utensils.

Catering Assistants Term Time work available £5.98 per hour plus retainer pay during school holidays Rates of pay as at April 2007 ( pay award pending).

You don't need to have any previous experience as full training and inductions will be given for all positions.
