Young people really are the future of Doncaster, which is why Education continues to be at the very top of the Mayor’s agenda ensuring all youngsters can achieve the academic and vocational achievements they deserve.
Over the last few years, Doncaster has achieved pleasing academic success. 2007 saw the Borough celebrating our ‘best ever’ GCSE results with 37.4% of young people across the Borough attaining five or more grades at A*-C, including English and Maths – an increase of 2.6% on last year’s performance. And at A Level, we have once again exceeded the national overall pass rate for the fifth consecutive year.
