Information about School Governors

The Governors Service provides a comprehensive package of support to Governors, Chairs and Headteachers.

One of the main components of the service is the Clerking Service which undertakes the following duties:

• Governor recruitment
• Compilation, typing and circulation of agendas
• Maintenance of schedule of meetings
• Provision of a clerk for up to two Governing Body meetings per term
• Production of minutes
• Deal with Council Directorates on behalf of governors
• Provide advice
• Governor training
