The SEF is intended to record the outcomes of your self-evaluation. As such, it should be an accurate diagnostic document with all conclusions fully supported by the evidence. It should indicate key strengths and weaknesses, and what needs to be tackled to effect improvement.
The Self Evaluation Form (SEF) is separate from a formal inspection although the most recent SEFs will be considered during an OFSTED inspection. Schools are expected to complete the form annually at their own convenience. Capita Education Services can help to provide some of the figures necessary to complete the OFSTED form using the data held in the SIMS SQL database. This data can be extracted from a PLASC return, or from reports designed specifically for use with the SEFs. The SEF must be completed online.
The Reports for the SEF can be found on our downloads page: www.doncaster.gov.uk/simsdownloads
