About the Service

The Professional Development Centre, based at the Carr House Centre, Danum Road, Doncaster, is a fully equipped meeting and course venue situated just outside the centre of Doncaster and within walking distance from all central locations.

We are happy to consider bookings for conferences and seminars from all sections of the Doncaster Community.

A full service for the provision of refreshments for users of the Centre is provided by Facilities Management.

Accommodation

Our accommodation includes 9 dual-purpose meeting/course rooms and a main hall. All rooms are equipped with tables and chairs - six will seat up to 22 people, one will seat up to 32 cabaret style and two will seat up to 45 people theatre style. The main hall seats up to 220 people theatre style.

Each meeting/course room is equipped with TV/video for video presentations, an overhead projector and screen and flip chart with pens. Four of the meeting/course rooms have interactive SMART whiteboards installed. The hall has an amplified sound system for use with lapel or static microphones with a loop system. There is also the option of using a digital projector for Powerpoint or video presentations. 

We can also provide a copy/fax service for an additional charge.
