Building Site Safety

Safe Play At All Times logo

Assets and Property promote building site safety either in or around schools in the Borough.

You now have access to this Free facility which will be incorporated into all capital building projects organised by this team but you may want to raise the children's awareness regarding other building sites in your locality

In addition to an assembly presentation,  The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)  has produced a two free packs aimed at raising the awareness of the dangers of construction sites amongst teachers, pupils and the wider community.

The free packs provide teachers with a means of delivering safety education for Key Stages 1 and 2 through the literacy hour and gives children an understanding of the dangers of construction sites and provides them with strategies for avoiding them.

Further details are available on the RoSPA website at this address - http://www.rospa.com/splaat/ . The packs can also be downloaded directly from the site although contact details are supplied for them to be supplied free by post.

As part of this initiative, the Authority’s Health Promotion Officer is also available to provide presentations to groups of pupils at all schools on request.

Please contact the officer directly on 01302 736244 or email commercial@doncaster.gov.uk  in order to make the necessary arrangements.
