What is "Playing for Success"?

Playing for Success is an out of hours study support initiative based within a sports stadium.

It aims to use the power of sport to raise Literacy, Numeracy and I.C.T. standards as well developing self esteem and confidence amongst Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils who are not achieving their full potential and often demotivated.

Doncaster's Playing for Success centre is based within the new Community Stadium at the Lakeside, working in partnership with Doncaster F.C., Doncaster Rugby League F.C. and Doncaster Belles Ladies F.C.

The project is funded by the Department for Education and Skills(DfES), the Local Authority, the Football Foundation and donations in kind from the named partners.

The centre began delivering it's full programme of services from September 2007.
