Doncaster Youth Service

The Youth Service in Doncaster offers young people (13-19 yrs) a wide range of opportunities, challenges, experiences, support and information. As well as enhancing their educational opportunities, the service, which is designed to promote equal opportunities amongst all young people, is helping them to develop into adulthood.

Young people can get actively involved through short or long term projects that bring teams together. Projects can take place almost anywhere and can be cultural, sporting or even environmental - giving young people a chance to become involved in whatever takes their fancy.

The service relies on the voluntary relationship between young people and youth workers to work towards young people developing through participation, effective communication, empowerment and continuous evaluation.

The Government has put together a 10-year Strategy to improve leisure-time opportunities, activities and support services for young people in England. This strategy will take the lead across local government bringing together youth support services in your Borough through engaging Young People in Positive Activities. Please visit the link below for more information on the Government’s strategy.
