About Foreign Exchanges
Foreign exchanges provide excellent opportunities for young people to find out about different cultures, break down barriers and to make new friends. We offer young people in Doncaster the opportunity to enjoy exchanges with young people from other countries and in particular from our twin towns in France, Germany and Poland.

"Promoting opportunities for international partnership with local communities and organisations"
Objectives of the Doncaster International Partnership Association(DIPA) are:
- To create positive development opportunities for individuals and groups through International Partnerships, including Town Twinning
- To encourage schools, youth groups and other organisations working with young people to access the benefits of International Partnerships for the personal, cultural and social development of those young people
- To assist groups and individuals to access funding to support twinning and International Partnerships
- To co-ordinate visits to Doncaster’s twin towns and ensure that visiting groups have appropriate information and support
- To promote town twinning by raising the awareness of people throughout the Borough
- To ensure that, where appropriate, official receptions are arranged for any International Partnership visits to Doncaster
- To facilitate networking between groups and individuals interested in International Partnerships.
- To help broaden the appeal of International Partnerships and international exchanges. To link into the Local Government International Bureau initiatives and funding
- To raise the awareness of the business and commercial community regarding the benefits of International Partnerships and international exchanges
Who are we? We are a small steering group who meet regularly to facilitate the work of the Association. Any organisation involved or interested in developing international links is welcome to join us.
