What is Information, Advice and Guidance?
- Young people require access to information so they can make decisions about their lives
- Young people need information/support in a safe and accessible environment, to think through their options
- Young people may need guidance especially when the process or things are unfamiliar
- Young people may need counselling and/or specialist and ongoing assistance from time to time
How is it provided?
By ensuring that young people have access to:
- Information, Advice, Guidance and Counselling that follows a Legal Framework including Confidentiality and Data Protection Policies
- Information at a time when they feel it is appropriate and necessary to address their needs
- Information that is consistently delivered through differing media and in partnership with other service providers.
