The Youth Service encourages young people to re-engage with learning and also help them, if necessary, through mentoring projects aimed at anti- bullying and substance misuse.
"All young people can access Youth Service Provision in their areas which gives them somewhere to go, someting to do, and someone to talk to. Through Youth workers, Specialist Advice and referrals are available if needed, or they can just be a friendly face to talk to".
Other projects include Streetreach, a specialist service giving confidential support to young women and girls working on the streets, and a Sexual Health Service for young men wishing to discuss all forms of sex related issues. The project also offers a drug treatment programme.
