About the College

The Northern Racing College (The Northern Centre of Excellence for the Racing Industry), is situated in the beautiful grounds of Rossington Hall just off the A638 (Great North Road), approximately 7 miles south of Doncaster in the metropolitan county of South Yorkshire.

Since opening in 1984, its aim has always been to provide high quality training for young people who want to work in the racing industry. This leads to the achievement of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) together with practical experience in trainers' yards.

Taster Days are held on the last Friday of every month (except in December). The taster day, which commences at 10am and finishes at approximately 1pm, offers potential students, their families and careers staff the chance to view all of our facilities, watch the students riding on the gallops and to ask the instructors any burning questions they may have.
