To develop robust agreements that ensure Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) provision is in place in all neighbourhoods for the priority ages of 13-19 and up to 25 Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (LDD) clients and that the IAG strategy links and complements other delivery programmes including 14-19 entitlements – schools, colleges and training providers.
To continue focus on delivering 1:1 support
To offer young people social and personal development opportunities to support or contribute to their individual learning plans including access to awards provision.
To offer young people access to information at all times that a young person may require it eg. evenings, weekends, out of school and through a variety of media including the Internet, cd/dvd, telephone help lines etc.
To ensure that the localised offer involves young people and involves them in the consultation process/voice and influence (V&I) work.
Maintenance of a Client Caseload Information System (CCIS) database.
The IAG Strategy Group has now completed the first stage in the development of the IAG Strategy. We have incorporated the new IAG Standards and developed an Action Plan and Executive Summary.

In partnership with the Youth Service and Youth Offending service, we are in the process of establishing a targeted youth support service for Doncaster where the service will be structured against the needs and circumstances of ALL young people. The IAG standards will standardise services under the Integrated Youth Support Services (IYSS) in Doncaster.
In order to support this work, it has been recognised by Connexions Doncaster and Borough Partners, the need to ensure continuity across universal and targeted services.
