What is Community Learning?

Community learning is about people from all sections of the community, having access to learning opportunities throughout their lives. As well as formal education and qualifications, this also covers other community learning activities, which enable people to learn new skills and to gain confidence in different areas.

Working closely with our partners, we co-ordinate the monthly Community Learning Forum to discuss issues important to everyone interested in adult learning in Doncaster. If you are interested in attending, contact us at the above address.

Through our Learning Development team we give information on learning activities for adults over 19 and can offer a variety of courses.

Examples of programmes currently on offer are:

Learn something new in 2010 - the Summer Term Timetable will be available here at the end of March!

Setting up a Community Learning project

Tutors work with groups of minimum of 8 learners and each course carries and enrolment fee of £15 per learner (£30 for IT Courses), payable at the enrolment session.

If you would like more information about these activities, please contact us, our contact details can be found at the top of this page.
