          AND MUCH, MUCH MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Care we Provide at Play scheme and After School Club

The two Senior Staff at Play scheme and After School Club are trained in administering various types of medication as well as procedures such as Gastrostomy Tube feeds. We work with children who have a wide range of disabilities and each child has a registration booklet, which enables Care Plans to be developed with the parent and carer.

The scheme has always been able to offer a high staff to child ratio; depending on the individual child's needs.

Support is on offer from the Children's Disability and Health Team's Nursing Advisor, John Monahan. Also, Sandall Wood's Jackie Cartlidge is a very valued member of the play team.

Is there a cost?

The Holiday Play scheme costs an average of £3,000.00 per week to run.

As a positive step towards sustainability, we have consulted with parents and carers regarding the future development of the scheme, who were happy to make a financial contribution.

As a result we ask for donations of  up to:
