Introduction

Apart from time limited consultation and the comments and complaints there are number of other ways you can have your say on issues that affect you and your neighbourhood. The methods include forums, the planning process, Youth Council and the Older People's Parliament. This page provides links to other webpages containing information about these and other ways you can have your say.

Comments and Complaints

Citizens can have their say on any aspect of the services the Council provides. Visit the Happy or not? webpage for details.

Consultation

Every year the Council undertakes consultation on all sorts of issues from equipment children would like in their play areas to development of strategies affecting the whole Borough. A list of these time limited consultation activities is updated regularly and can be found on the Public Consultation webpages.

Councillors

For details of how you can contact your local Councillor visit the Members support webpage. These pages also contain links to details of Members of Parliament, Members of the European Parliament and Parish Councillors.

Planning

To view and make comment on planning applications visit the Public Access webpages

Mayor

The Mayor's website contains information on how you can contact the Mayor and an e-form which can be used to make suggestions on any issues that matter to you.

Overview and Scrutiny Panel Meetings

Most Overview and Scrutiny meetings are open to the public and you can listen to the debate and discussion. They are generally held in the Mansion House, in central Doncaster, as well as other locations in the Borough. If you wish to bring something to the attention of Scrutiny, you can make a statement at a relevant Panel meeting, or write or e-mail the Chair of the relevant Panel. For more information about how you can have your say at a Scrutiny Panel Meeting see the Overview and Scrutiny webpages.

Public Rights of Way forum

The forum is open to anyone with an interest in rights of way. We especially welcome landowners and tenants to the forum as these groups are currently under-represented. The meetings are held every 3 months and more information can be found by visiting the Public Rights of Way Forum webpages.

Town Centre Forum

The Town Centre Forum is concerned with the content of the Borough's new Local Development Framework and the associated town centre plan. After this, the forum may consider a wider range of live issues affecting the town centre and act as a sounding board for the Neighbourhood team and other Council departments.

For more information contact roy.dean@doncaster.gov.uk

The initial consultation will end on 24th March 2009
