The Local Government Ombudsman is an independent person who investigates complaints about Councils.
The Ombudsman can look at complaints about most Council matters including:
Housing, planning, education, social care, council tax, housing benefit, transport and highways, environmental health, neighbourhood nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
If your complaint has been dealt with by the Council and you remain unhappy with the way the Council has dealt with it, you can approach the Local Government Ombudsman.
