Doncaster Council is moving a step closer to your neighbourhood

one stop customer service centre

There are now 13 Customer Service Centres  to discuss issues which affect you in your neighbourhood. Simply call in to your Customer Service Centre in your local community library or Colonnades house in the Town Centre. The Centres provide you with a face-to-face, one stop shop for Council services in a welcoming and friendly environment.

Visit the Customer Service Centre and talk to a fully trained customer advisor about your enquiry and you will find it is dealt with promptly.

The Centres are also designated offices for accepting claim forms and supporting evidence for Housing and Council Tax Benefit, Free School Meals and Mobility Travel Passes. Staff at these centres can provide claim forms and literature about these benefits as well as answer basic Housing and Council Tax benefit queries. 

Customer Service Centre Staff can also signpost customers or make requests to the Doncaster Joint Visiting (for people aged 60 and over) or with the Welfare rights and Tribunal Service (for customers aged under 60) for them to carry out a Welfare benefit check (to see if there are any benefits the customer may be able to claim which they are not currently claiming).

Trained staff are also able to accept claim forms from people aged 60 and over for the following Department of work and pensions benefits:

A room is available where you will be able to discuss your business in private, if required and if you run a community group meeting rooms may be available for hire.

If you would rather use our self help facilities, a Public Information Point is available in the centre to enable you to access a wide range of local information about the Council, transport information and employment opportunities as well as free video messaging, news and games. Fully trained staff are on-hand to help you use these services.

These is also a display area with leaflets and posters provided to enable you to access information yourself.
