Reviewing Doncaster's Borough Strategy
The Council and its partners are currently revising Doncaster's Borough Strategy to ensure it captures an up to date understanding of the long term challenges and opportunities in Doncaster up until 2025.
The revised Borough Strategy will be based on the long term priorities for Doncaster that were agreed by Full Council on 28 May 2008. A copy of these are shown at the bottom of this page.
Doncaster's Borough Strategy (Sustainable Community Strategy) is required to set out the long-term strategic direction for improving the economic, social and environmental well-being of Doncaster. It needs to provide the evidence base for the focus of Doncaster’s LocalArea Agreement – which is the three-year delivery plan for the Borough Strategy. The revised Local Area Agreement (three year) Shared Priorities are also shown below.
Doncaster's Partnership Boards will drive the implementation of the Shared Priorities. Strategic leadership is given by the Discover the Spirit (DtS) Board, which is chaired by the Mayor of Doncaster and includes the Chief Executives of key agencies.
