Environmental Advice / Report Form

Environmental Planning provides the following services:

  • Advice regarding Ecology, Landscape, Trees and Hedgerows and development. 
  • Provides advice regarding protected trees and determines applications for works.
  • Supports the Local Biodiversity Action Partnership.
  • Provides advice and support to individuals / groups planning biodiversity enhancement projects.
  • Develops Environmental Policy / Sustainability Appraisal.

Please Note: Environmental Planning is not responsible for:

  • Maintaining trees on Council owned land or High Hedges cases - for these areas please contact 01302 736000.
  • Incidents of Wildlife Crime - please contact South Yorkshire Police.
  • The allocation of commuted sums and the maintenance of Public Open Space (POS) where it has been adopted by the Council. For these areas please contact Neighbourhood, Communities and Children's Services - Telephone: 01302 736000.
  • Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.
