Joint Waste Plan - Public Examination

Public Examination

The purpose of the public examination is to assess the soundness of the Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham Joint Waste Plan. To be sound, the Joint Waste Plan must be:

  • justified (i.e. founded on a robust and credible evidence base and the most appropriate strategy when considered against reasonable alternatives);
  • effective (i.e. deliverable, flexible and capable of being monitored); and
  • consistent with national planning policy.
