Doncaster's Adult, Family and Community Learning Service

Doncaster Council's Adult, Family and Community Learning Service (AFCL) is funded by the Skills Funding Agency, to provide local learning activities for adults and families in their community.
This Service operates across the borough encouraging all sectors of the community to participate in local learning activities of their choice. It is expected that individuals and groups continue learning and progress onto further learning activities with the AFCL Service or other providers.
Enrolment Sessions
Come along to an enrolment session for the course you are interested in, where you will meet your tutor, find out more about the course, enrol and pay your fees. Your start date will be confirmed on the enrolment session and will be the same time, same place, but for two hours, it couldn’t be easier.

Further information
We offer a free, impartial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) Service to all our learners, maximising potential and assisting them to make informed decisions about their future plans or developments.
The service always tries to respond to learner needs and will support all individuals to access their chosen learning activity. Parents are helped to support their children's education as well as families being encouraged to learn together.
Areas of learning are diverse including Information Technology (IT), Family History, Holiday Spanish, Arts and Crafts, Photography and many many more.
We have 3 main areas of learning which are:
- Community Learning
- Family Learning
- Skills for Life
All are delivered in your community, perhaps in the local school, community centre, library or village hall and will be delivered by a qualified adult tutor or a specialist with expertise in their field.
