Some people say domestic abuse, others say domestic violence.
Both of these terms mean a range of abusive behaviour, violence or abuse (either physical, sexual, financial, psychological or emotional) between adults who are intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender. If you are experiencing domestic abuse then help is available:

In February 2011, www.doncasterdomesticabuse.co.uk was launched. The website brings together every agency in Doncaster to provide a co-ordinated response to domestic abuse. Victims can also call the Doncaster Domestic Abuse Helpline on 01302 326411 for advice and information. In an emergency, you should ALWAYS call 999.
